At Lesmahagow you are right in the heart of the beautiful Lanarkshire countryside. There are some lovey country parks and walks to experience ; Castlebank Park, Cartland Craig's, Clyde Valley Woodlands and The Falls of Clyde being the nearest in the area.
For a family day our our top picks would be the Clyde Valley Family Park, a farm-themed day-out with go-carts, an animal petting zone, and play area. For older children and families New Lanark is a cotton mill heritage site with lots of different activities and historical things to see and learn about.
You then have both Glasgow and Edinburgh within travelling distance to enjoy all the arts, culture, museums and city life that you could want.
