Things To Do in Glasgow
Douglas is an idyllic village not far from Glasgow, surrounded by gorgeous countryside and still containing much of its ancient medieval past. St Bride's Church still stands proudly over the village, and just a short walk or drive away are the ruins of Douglas Castle, a fortress with an amazing history: not only was it fought over constantly between the Scottish and the English, but it was also where Bonnie Prince Charlie stayed before the Battle of Culloden. You might know the castle from Walter Scott's novel, Castle Dangerous. The village is also within driving distance of the stunning Falls of the Clyde.
